APPLIQUE & TRAPUNTO CLASS "Poppies"

This piece has a finished size of 12” x 16 1/2”.
This is the same size as an A4 sheet of paper.

This is a TWO DAY class, where students learn Both my Trapunto & Applique technique, that LOOKS like Needleturn but is ALL SEWN on the SEWING MACHINE.

I have been using this same Applique technique for over 30 years now, and the Trapunto for over 10 years, so I am rather proficient within these techniques.

The first day I aim to have everyone close to finishing their Applique, but they will need to keep working steadily, then the second day we work on the Trapunto, where students will learn how to place Trapunto under their Applique, exactly as I do within my exhibition quilts.

I do like to start this class ONE HOUR earlier than normal, as I spend the first hour teaching everyone how to set their machines up to use monofilament thread.
This is an important step and is almost a class of its own.

I then also take students through a short lesson on how I personally choose my fabrics when making my quilts.

I then also take students through a short lesson on how I personally choose my fabrics when making my quilts.

This gives everyone an Ahh..Haa moment, once they see just how I do this.

Learning to put the binding on is not part of this class.

Class runs from
Day 1..9.00 am until 4.00 pm or 9.30 am until 4.30 pm
Day 2..10.00 am until 4.00 pm.
